Complaint against access ramps for the disabled

ACCESS RAMPS. The father of a wheelchair bound girl complained to The Ear through telephone about some access ramps for the disabled that are blocked and can’t be used. He said at least two such access ramps (one in T. Padilla, the other in San Nicolas) could not be used. One of them was blocked with sacks of rice while the other had a bicycle chained on the railing.

FOR COMPLIANCE ONLY. The complaining father said some building owners seem to have constructed the access ramps merely for compliance with the law. “Bahala na’g functional kini o dili,” he said. “Naay ramp nga tungason kaayo, naa say higpit diin lisud makaagi ang wheelchair.”
