No prayers in the face of deadly tsunami

- The Ear -

CANDELARIA CANDLES. An old woman calling herself a devotee of Our Lady of the Candlemas distributed blessed “Candelaria Candles” to her neighbors following the deadly earthquake and tsunami that hit Jaoan. She said the candles must be lighted the moment a temblor is felt.

NO PRAYERS. High officials of Japan urged the Japanese people to be strong and vigilant in the face of the natural disaster that has hit Japan. “Apan, wa ko kadungog bisan usa kanila nga miawhag sa katawhan sa pag-ampo sa Ginoo,” said a member of a Catholic Women’s League.
