Steer clear of this spot at North Recla

YOUNG HOODLUMS. While walking along a street at the North Reclamation Area near the burned White Gold building one late afternon recently, a high school boy was blocked by two boys of his age. They robbed him of his jacket and rubber shoes. They then fled towards the squatters slum area. The hold-uppers carried only a sharpened bamboo resembling a long dagger. “Ila pa unta ko huboan sa karsones apan nanagan pagkadungog nila sa siren sa bombero,” the boy said.

NOT THE FIRST. A dockhand who came to the boy’s aid said it was not the first robbery of that sort in the said place. Last year another boy student was also divested of his watch and imported rubbers shoes, the dockhand said. “Maayong likayan ning dapit inig kilum-kilum na,” he advised.
