The Azkals and the showbiz people live in two different worlds. Azkal Phil lives in a world of reality. Angel lives in a world of make-believe where chismis and intrigues are the rule of the day.

 She asked me to explain this anti-women swimming pool rule, as if I authored the rule. Honestly, I’m not aware of this rule. But I’m aware of the bathtub rule in some posh hotels: “Clean feet first before using the tub.” This is addressed only to men.

People power in Egypt toppled President Hosni Mubarak, a happening reminiscent of our Edsa people power that knocked out a dictator.

People power could succeed only in countries with democratic bearings. Not in communist countries like China. Remember the Tiananmen people protest? Many observers thought it would succeed and bring democracy to China. But the Chinese government stopped the protest with war tanks and guns.

Grabe, you say? Yes, grabe. The people’s voice is stifled. Grabe. But then again, look at China today. It’s trying to outrun the US in economic development.
