Glasses for ID purposes only

Optical illusion. This former political figure and EDSA hero still carries his square-frame glasses with him even if they are no longer needed. The official had undergone Lasik eye treatment and stopped using glasses a long time ago. But then when he appeared in public his friends and relatives could not identify him without his trademark eyewear. What he did was take the lenses out of his frame, no one could really tell unless they were really looking closely. In public he appears to be still wearing glasses, but where the lenses used to be is only air.

No German here, just Dutch.   After a German was found dead in Lapu-Lapu City some time ago his contacts here were looking for the funeral parlor where his body was taken. When they called one funeral parlor, the attendant they spoke to said a foreigner’s body had indeed been taken there that day, but the body was that of a Dutch, not German. His contacts thanked him and hung up. Apparently both parties did not know that Germans called themselves “Deutsch” and that the body that arrived in the funeral parlor that day was really the one they were looking for.
