Buddhist priests attend Mass at Pilgrim Center

- The Ear -

BUDDHIST MONKS. Two Buddhist monks or priests were seen at the Pilgrim Center during one of the Holy Masses on the eve of the Fiesta Señor. The two were members of a tour group from Bangkok. The tour guide told The Ear informer that the Buddhist priests attended the Mass “just for the experience.” They followed every movement of the ritual, the tour guide said.

NO SACRILEGE. A Roman Catholic priest said the Buddhist priests or monks committed no sacrilege against “our God” unless they made a mockery of our Holy Mass but they did not. The Catholic priest told The Ear informer that he had once also attended a Buddhist church service “just for the experience too.”
