A missionary's advice to our hospitality girls

BALIKBAYAN’S ADVICE. A balikbayan belonging to a Christian missionary group from the US is appealing to some so-called hospitality girls to streer clear of foreigners during the Sinulog mardi gras. He said if they must go with foreigners at all, “they must be circumspect and prudent in their behavior” so as not to make a scene that would bring shame to the country, Cebu in particular.

“UGLY PHOTOS”. The same missionary said that last year a men’s magazine exclusively for colored readers carried fiesta photos some of which showed Pinays (Cebuanas?) clinging to half-naked male companions. “Ugly photos,” he said.
