Texting in gas station no longer prohibited?

- The Ear -

TEXTING IN GAS STATION. A member of a women's civic organization called up The Ear to ask: "OK na ba karon ang pagtext-text samtang gisudlan og gasolina ang sakyanan sa nagtext-text?" The caller said while waiting for her turn to have her car filled, the driver of the car ahead of her was busy texting, ignoring the sign near him that said: "Texting in this area is prohibited."

DRINKING. Another reader also called up to ask if it is not a violation of the anti-liquor laws to drink liquor inside a car parked beside a university. The reader said he saw three young men drinking beer in the said car.
