White lady in the cemetery

WHITE LADY. She’s still making the rounds of cemeteries in the city  this woman garbed in while long-sleeved dress offering prayers for the dead for a fee. “Motanyag siya og prayer sa imong minatay sa gamay’ng bayad,” an Ear informer said. “Di mobungat og presyo, sa imo lang gusto. Limos kuno ni sa mga kag.”

SACRISTAN. The woman is accompanied by a boy, about 10 years old, who assists her in her prayer and receives the “limos.” This white lady, according to an Ear source, goes around the various city cemeteries, including the memorial parks, during All Saints Day. “Wa may nangontra niya kay wa man manulis. Take it or leave it man ang iyang gihimo,” the Ear informer said.
