A veterinarian as CCMC chief

HOSPITAL CHIEF. When it came out in the news media that a veterinarian might be named head of the Cebu City Medical Center, some people, including some radio commentators, made fun of it. A retired veterinarian (doctor of veterinary medicine) took offense. “Ayaw ninyo yagayaga-i ang mga beterinaryo isip hepe sa CCMC,” he told a mediaman with whom he was having coffee in a coffeeshop in SM City.” He added: “Pulos bitaw doctor of medicine ang mga nahimong chief sa CCMC, nagkagidlay man lagi.”

NOW IT CAN BE TOLD. The mediaman having coffee with the veterinarian (above) said: “Now it can be told. The doctors of medicine who had ran the CCMC were virtual failures ... A veterinarian might do better. Let’s have him now. Now na!”
