You like a sissy for prexy?

HAVE BAT WILL STRIKE - Juanito V. Jabat   -

There's so much tsika about P.Noy's lovelife. I hope these talks about Noynoy's dating are not objections. I don't want a sissy for President, do you?

A reader said he'd send me a rare book for Christmas. Its title is: "What to Say When You Talk to Yourself."

The Post Office says: "Mail your Christmas packages now." So, OK, I'll start waiting for the postman.

To the gripe of many that hospital service in RP is very expensive, a hospital admin I know says: "We can lower the cost by introducing a self-help service where a patient may operate on himself sans help from surgeons."

* * *

He hastened to add: "Joke, joke, joke." He said the last time he was quoted as having said that (self-help) someone called him arrogant.

* * *

Speaking of self-help, a congressman has called for a more efficient self-help program in the government. Self-help was popular during some past admins. Officials high and low helped themselves to the money bag.

Mar C. Rabaya, a former Cebu radioman and ex-councilor of Talisay, is now in Sarasota, Florida, USA, where he's among the top guys in the Bisdak community. I just thought his friends here would be interested to know.

Mar contributes short stories to Banat News from time to time. He says Banat News is read online (www.Philstar.com) by Cebuanos and other Visayans in Sarasota whose number is legion.

Reading about suggestions of some friends on how I should treat my newly acquired diabetes, Banat News staff man Edwin Ian Melecio suggests I include in my diet kamote tops (udlot), pako and ampalaya shoots. It brought his mother back to good health after a major surgical procedure on her spine. Thanks, Edwin. I'll try that.

It says here that a trisikad driver was stabbed with a pointed barbecue stick in Lahug. He was not dead, but I'm sure he needlessly spent more than what he earned that night. Years ago, I suggested here that barbecue cooks should be required to cut off the sharp points of their B-Q sticks. Mine was a voice in the wildeness.
