Does this police unit deserve a Kalabasa Award?

MUTE POLICE. A group of reporters expressed their disappointment over a unit of the PNP based in Cebu City. Reporters lamented that almost every time they would interview this unit, they turn “mute” or won’t go out of their offices. The first and last time that the head of this unit held a presscon was during the turnover of command last 2009.

KALABASA AWARD. In that turnover ceremony, the chief was very positive in giving assurances to the members of the media. He said, “I assure you I will be available for you members of the media.” But apparently, they did not deliver on this promise. Yesterday, in their frustration of having to wait in vain, the reporters suggested that this police unit be given a “Kalabasa Award”.
