Reader: Illegal wire tapping contributes to energy crisis

- The Ear -

CHASE ELECTRICITY THIEVES. An irate reader told The Ear that he is fed up with the constant brownouts. According to him, the electric company should go after electricity thieves because they contribute to the energy crisis. He said, “Kaning mga ga-illegal wire tapping maoy hinungdan ngano ga-krisis ta karon. Pwerteng daghana diha sa mga squatter areas, siyaro wala gyud na nabantayan sa VECO?”

NO ACTION. A female editor of this paper has informed Veco, several times in fact, about illegal wire tapping in their area. She has informed VECO personnel in their SM office, texted and even called up the VECO hotline, when sparks went off along the illegally tapped electric wire. She has given description and the location of the illegal wire connection but until now, VECO personnel have yet to look into it. She said, “Wala gyud na nabadlong. Kung gi-aksiyonan unta na nila ang mga reklamo sa illegal wire tapping, makatabang pa na’g sulbad sa problema sa electricity.”
