An enlightening temple tour

NEW LANDMARK. Cebuanos who have curiously looked up to the massive construction atop this hill in Barangay Lahug can now see the completion of this new Cebu landmark. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have constructed a beautiful temple and has opened its doors to the public for tours. But no cameras and video recorders are allowed inside.

MAJESTIC. The members of the media who were given a tour inside the temple were in awe of the luxurious interior - soft carpet, paintings, light fixtures and crystal chandeliers. A temple elder explained, “This is the House of the Lord so it should be beautiful. It should be worthy for the Lord.” At the entrance of the temple, the media were made to put on plastic booties. A Catholic mediaman said, “Grabe kalimpyo ug kaputi sa lugar. Very holy and peaceful place.”
