This senatoriable paid with a cheque, not cash

TV SHOW. A host of this television show said that many political candidates who ask to be interviewed pay about a thousand pesos to be featured in the show, and they always pay in cash. One political candidate, however, who is running for a senate seat paid with a cheque. A mediaman jokingly asked him, “Dili kaha na mo-untol, sir?” The host said, “Gikuyawan ko kung ma-incash ba ang cheque. Aw, tan-awon lang nya ni nato.”

MONEY, MONEY. A reader is asking why the Comelec is not acting on the reports of politicians who gave out money to the public during their campaign sorties. A news network have documented many politicians who gave out small amounts of money to children and senior citizens. The reader said, “Ngano hilom man kaayo ang Comelec kabahin ani?”
