Drowsy candidate

- The Ear -

SLEEPY? A political candidate for the national position visited The FREEMAN office recently. The people saw that he was yawning constantly and his eyes appeared tired. A reporter asked him, “Pagud ka na, sir?” A staff was also heard telling a co-worker, “Nagluy na man gud iyang mata.” The co-worker said, “Buing, luy man gyud na siya’g mata daan.”

LONG DAY. When he sat down inside the conference room, he was still yawning, which prompted an editor to ask, “Long day, sir?” He answered, “Bagong kain kasi ako.” He said that his day usually starts at 6am and ends around midnight, which gives him only a few hours sleep but said, “Pero ok lang. I just take quick naps sa plane or sa car. Nakaupo lang.” After he was served two cups of black coffee by a TF staff, he was again quick and alert in answering questions.
