Out of sight, out of mind?

FOREIGN COMMENT. A foreign visitor to Cebu City commented on the state of our city streets. He said that he is staying in a hotel in Lahug. He described the streets as “third world status” with open drains choked with weeds. He said, “The last time I saw Cebu City workers was when the ASEAN Summit was held in 2007. Mr. Mayor, do you have a policy out of sight, out of mind?”

PIER 4. Another reader complained about the guards in Pier 4 who he said are on the take. He said, “Kanang mga guard sa Pier 4, hawod kaayo kay ang taxi nga walay pasahero unta dili man makasulod sa Pier 4 pero kung mohatag og P20 walay kotso-kotso, sulod dayon, wala pay bayad og ticket sa entrance.”
