Smoking mother, smoking baby

SMOKING MOTHER, BABY. A mediaman saw a mother smoking at a roadside in Colon yesterday. She had her baby who looked to be only over a year old cradled in her arms. What shocked the mediaman was when he saw the mother pass the cigarette from her mouth to her baby’s mouth. She let the baby suck on the cigarette stick which made the baby cough. The mediaman later told The Ear, “Buang gyud tong inahana. Baby pa gani, iya naman gipayup-yup sa sigarilyo. Pastilan gyud tong bayhana. Kamaayo naman duklon.”

MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. The mediaman tried to reprimand the mother and said, “Nang, ayaw intawon. Malooy ka sa imong anak. Makadaut na sa iyang baga.” But the mother said, “Magbuot man ka. Ako man ning anak.” The mediaman shook his head and walked away.
