Fil-Am balikbayan angered by the discovery of tons of guns

A Fil-Am balikbayan, observing the peace and order condition in Mindanao, expressed disgust at the government in a long e-mail to The Freeman. “Nanobra ang armas sa private armies sa Maguindanao samtang ang atong kapolisan wa’y armas, kun kuwang sa armas, bisan nalang paltik,” the balikbayan said. “This is a slap on the face of our law enforcement authorities.”

SPEAK UP, SPEAK UP: Malacañang should speak up on the matter pertaining to the tons of guns, machineguns, grenade launchers, and other heavy war weapons found in Maguindanao. “Dili mahimo magpakahilum lang ang Palasyo,” the balikbayan said. “It behooves Malacañang to find out who supplied the Ampatuans these tons of firearms.”
