Ear informer guessed right on Villar-Legarda tandem

IT WAS ON THE EAR. The female Ear informer guessed it right when she told The Ear about the Manny Villar-Loren Legarda tandem a few weeks ago. Last Nov. 6 she told The Ear that the Villar-Legarda tandem was already a closed deal even while both were still mum on the issue. “Klaro na kaayo nga si Legarda ang runningmate ni Villar,” she said.

LEGARDA SAID. A Manila columnist who was in Cebu that day told Sen. Legarda about Sen. Villar’s invitation done by a mediaman who is also known as her pointman. The senator replied, “Humingi siya ng permission to invite the mediamen to meet him.”

 YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST. When the informer heard about Villar’s invitation from Legarda’s pointman last Nov. 6, The Ear published an article last Nov. 8 titled, “A presidentiable’s meeting with Cebu mediamen sparked rumors of tandem.” When the tandem was finally announced Nov. 17, the informer said, “See? I told you so. Sakto lagi ko. Klaro na kaayo nga nagkasinabot nang duha. Karon pa lang gi-announce. At least naka-una na’g balita ang Ear, di ba?”
