Cotto jokes and empty streets

BUTT OF JOKES. With the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto Jr., the Puerto Rican boxer became the butt of jokes. A group of Pacman fan were heard saying that Cotto was squished like a headlice, even motioning with their fingers. “Si Cotto gi-tusod ni Pacquiao nga mora’g kuto.” Another group of boxing fans who were gathered in a carenderia shouted, everytime the Pacman hits Cotto, “Da! Ga Cotto-Cotto ang bukog ni Cotto sa kumo ni Pacman. Haha!”

EMPTY STREETS. As usual, with every Manny Pacquiao fight, the streets become empty with people converging in front of television sets to watch the boxing match. A mediaman who was near a mall on his way to work said, “Pagkamingaw sa dalan. Puwede ka magsayaw-sayaw sa tunga sa karsada.”
