Churchgoers irked by a woman's bringing her dog inside the church

DOGS NOT ALLOWED. A white-haired mestiza churchgoer brought with her to church her pet dog, a young German Shephered, which she made to sit on the pew close to her. Some of those occupying the same pew stood up and moved to another seat seemingly in protest against the presence of the dog. “Ka maut nila,” the dog owner said. “Mas desente pa ning doggie ko kay nila.”

FOR PEOPLE ONLY. The dog owner was later approached by two sacristans who told her to bring the dog out. “Ang atong Misa para lang sa tawo, way labot mananap,” one of the sacristans said. The women obeyed but kept blabbering some words to the effect that God will punish those who sent her dog out.
