Family converted to Catholicism because of its love for Cory

CONVERSION. One of the bases for the naming of a person to the sainthood is the conversion of someone to Catholicism because of him or her (the sainthood candidate). An Ear informer learned that a Cebuano family in Misamis Oriental known to belong to a born-again ministry has been converted to Catholicism because of the family members’ love for Cory Aquino, who is being nominated for sainthood. “Usa na ba na ka sign nga santahonon si Cory?” our informer wants to know.

NO YELLOW RIBBON. A woman official of a national government regional office here berated her driver for tying a yellow ribbon on the antenna of her car. “Tangtanga na,” she ordered her driver. “Gusto kang matangtang tang duha sa trabaho?” The driver who was innocent about the political implication of the yellow ribbon these days could only say: “Kay ngano man diay mam?”
