P1,000 from Erap and P100 from Enrile

SENIOR CITIZEN. At a political caravan in Duljo, Fatima, a female senior citizen was asked, “Sino ang iyong presidente?” She hesitated, then said “Si Erap!” Erap smiled and asked her to approach him on stage. He gave her P1,000 and said, “Early Christmas gift ko ‘yan.”

ENRILE’S GIFT. The woman was then told, “O, doon ka naman kay Senator Enrile.” The woman approached the Senator who reached into his pocket and pulled out several P500 bills. The woman looked hopeful. The senator flipped through the bills then handed the woman P100. The woman’s face fell. Enrile smiled and said, “Taga Ilocos kasi ako. We’re very frugal.”
