Don't mistake the meaning of self-help

HAVE BAT WILL STRIKE - Juanito V. Jabat   -

I am often asked by friends what exercise I do to kept me fit. As if I’m fit. Hehe!

US Sen. Chauncey Depew was asked what kind of exercise he does. Sen. John Parker quoted Depew as saying: “I get my exercise acting as pall-bearer for some of my friends who exercised.”

The latest SWS survey shows Erap on No.2 spot. If the next survey would show him on No.1, an 82-year-old war veteran says: “I’ll start praying for this country.”

I asked the war veteran: “Why, what’s wrong with Erap?” His reply: “Patusotuso ka pa da. Wa ka kailang Erap?... Wa ka kaila kon kinsa si Erap?” That silenced me. Nasuko ang tiguwang. Hehe!
