Has there ever been a confiscated PUJ franchise due to strike?

- The Ear -

“NOTHING DOING”. Two senior citizens (both retired government employees/officials) visited this paper’s publisher the other day to air their disgust over the local government’s inability to make the “abusive” jeepney drivers toe the line. They said everytime there is a transport strike, the city officials would say in “mock anger” that they would move for the cancellation of the jeep operators’ franchises. “Kapila na man nga dunay strike dinhi sa siyudad, duna na bay prangkisa nga nakanselar?” one of the two visitors asked. “Pulos lang yawit, papogi points, kining mga opisyal sa siyudad pero they’re doing nothing to save the commuters from the abusive PUJ drivers.”

REASON FOR ABUSE. The two visitors said the main reason for the continued abuses of the PUJ drivers is the “complacent attitude” of the city officials. “Mosaad og aksiyon apan walay aksiyhttp://img12.imageshack.us/img12/9889/eartoone.gifon. Laway ra diay to. Mao na nga manganad ug mogara ang mga drayber kay total wa may silot.”
