Concerned reader: Where will all the new nurses work?

NEW GRADS. With thousands of new nurses who recently passed the licensure examination, a concerned reader is asking if there is still work open to these new nurses. This reader identified herself as a registered nurse who, she said, wants to express her concern for these new nurses. She said, “Naluoy ko ani nila uy. Asa pa man na ipamutang ang bag-ong nurses karon? Puno na ang mga hospital kay naay retrogression ang US. Nihinay sab ang hiring sa ubang countries kay tungod sa global crisis.”

NURSES IN CALL CENTERS. This concerned nurse said she has a nephew and a niece who are also registered nurses but haven’t had the opportunity to work in hospitals, and instead were forced to work in call centers. She said, “Nasayang ang training sa akong mga pag-umangkon kay wala man silay masudlan nga hospital, nag call center agents na lang sila.”
