A presidentiable's blunder

NOT DEBATE. A presidentiable was in Cebu recently and was a keynote speaker at an oratorical contest, much to the delight of several college students who admire this charismatic politician. During his speech, however, he kept mentioning about “debate” and even gave pointers on debating. The politician’s obvious blunder made many squirm uncomfortably in their seats.

NOT SEEING THE SIGN. Mediamen who witnessed this whispered to each other, “Ngano nagsige man na siya’g istorya about debate nga oratorical contest man ni?” Another mediaman commented, “Siyaro. Dako kaayo ang sign nga “Oratorical contest” sa iyang likod, wala gyud siya kabantay?”
