Girl's chatmate thinks In Vino Veritas is a wine
DENY TO DEATH. A man got into trouble with his wife after he received a call from a woman wishing him Pit Señor during the Fiesta Señor earlier this month. He was in another room when his cellphone rang and his wife took the call. Another woman was on the other end of the line looking for her husband. When she said he was still in the bathroom and what this was about, the caller just told him to wish him “Pit Señor” then hung up.The man, later told a friend he had several girlfriends and he had “denied them all to death” in front of his wife.“Mao nang inig abot sa amo, pagngon na lang nako akong cellphone,” he said to an Ear source.
THE “TRUTH” WINE. A woman and her chatmate from abroad were comparing alcoholic drinks they had tried when the woman jokingly said she is most affected by In Vino Veritas. A Latin saying, In Vino Veritas —literally translating to “in wine there is truth”— simply means when one has had imbibed too much, he or she tends to speak his or her mind freely and without inhibition or caution. But her chatmate, thought this was a special kind of wine and began to ask her about it. She then joked that she had been drinking it for some time now and it never fails to get the truth out of her. “Must be a very strong wine,” her chatmate allegedly said. She later told her friends to their amusement that she promised she will introduce him to the wine when he arrives here in the Philippines.
