Woman tunes caroler's ukulele

- The Ear -

OFF-KEY. A woman awakened to hear a caroler murdering a Christmas carol at a neighbor’s gate. Not only was his voice off-key but the ukulele he was using was also not tuned right. With each playing the woman got more irritated until finally the caroler reached her gate and she went out of the house to meet him and offered to tune his ukulele the right way. After she returned the ukulele to the caroler he gave it a go and found it accompanied his voice better (relatively speaking) and decided to give the woman a free song out of gratitude. “Ang-ang, iyang kinantahan Key of C unya iyang instrument Key of G,” the woman later told an Ear source.

ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL. After a man noticed the cabbie he and his friends hired to take them home from a mall at the north reclamation area was nodding at the wheel he decided to do everything to keep him awake without alerting his friends seated in the back. At first, nudges were enough to keep the man awake, but after a while the driver moved out of hitting range and the passenger made sharp little noises with his plastic package to snap the driver out of it. After that, he kept clearing his throat and rapping his fingers on the dashboard to keep the man awake, especially when he noticed they were approaching another vehicle or when the light turned red.   Finally they arrived home and he made sure his friends were out of the vehicle before he scolded the driver and told him to go to sleep. He later told his friends it was the scariest 40 minutes of his life.
