Fine for noisy motorcycles, tricycles sought

NOISE POLLUTION. A reader called up The Ear to react on the article about motorcycles as cause of noise pollution. He said he agrees with the other reader and said that there should be a strict law against noise pollution. He said that the anti-noise ordinance is inutile as no one is implementing them. He said, “Walay epek ang ilang anti-noise ordinance. Kinahanglan i-apil og dakop kaning mga motor nga puwerte ka saba.”

MODIFIED MOTORCYCLES. Another reader said that LTO should apprehend or fine noisy motorcycles. He said that most motorcycles have been altered, with owners removing the silencing tubes inside the the mufflers to give the motorcycles that loud, noisy sound. He said, “Kung saba gani ang motor, siguradong gihilabtan gyud ang mufflers. Dapat dakpon ug pamultahon sila kay sobra kaayo ang paka sa motor. Maglabad atong ulo.”
