SUFFERING KIDS. A reader told The Ear that a public elementary school in Mabolo is without electricity. The school kids are suffering the dark and the heat inside the crammed classrooms. The heat had become so unbearable the students had to take off their shirts and just wear their sando or undershirt.
The mother of a prep school student said, “Luoy kaayo ang mga bata. Makahilak ka magtan-aw nga nabasa na sila sa singot kay puwerteng inita sa sulod sa classroom unya wala pa gyu’y suga.”
SEEKING RELIEF. The mother of this prep school student added, “Abi nako nag brown out lang gahapon maong walay suga.” The mother later found out that the electricity of the school was cut. She later asked The Ear, “Maputlan sab diay og kuryente ang public schools sa? Maayo unta’g mabalik na ang kuryente kay mora gyud og pug-on imong kasing-kasing magtan-aw sa mga bata nga mabasa na sa singot sa kainit sa classroom.”
