Dirty cabbies, dirty taxicabs of Cebu

DIRTY DRIVERS. A female advertising agent told The Ear that many dishonest taxi drivers abound in Cebu. She takes the taxi numerous times a day in her line of work, and she said that if she is to rate the kind of taxicab drivers in Cebu, these drivers would get a failing mark.

She said, “In terms of attitude and the way they dress, hagbung gyud. Samot pa kay kulang sa hygiene. Kasagaran sa mga drivers sa Cebu, lago kaayo. Pirmi walay ligo.”

SMELLY TAXICABS. It can be recalled that this complaint has been echoed numerous times by the public, and was overheard several times from complaining foreign tourists. An Ear informer commented, “Manimaho ang taxi kung walay ligo ang driver.

Sometimes, di gyud ma agwanta ang baho, I have to roll down the window, bahala na’g init. Mas ma agwanta pa ang kainit kay sa baho sa taxi.”
