Elementary students caught in the middle of typhoon Lando

KIDS CAUGHT IN STORM. The Ear informer saw several elementary students caught in the middle of Typhoon Lando. The storm hit as students ended their classes for the day. Many small children were seen walking the streets bracing the strong wind and rain amid falling tree branches, flying debris and flooded streets. The Ear informer said, “Luoy kaayo ang mga estudyante, ilabi na kadtong mga gagmay nga bata. Gikuso-kuso sa bagyo. Daghan intawon na stranded.”

ANGRY PARENTS. The Ear heard many parents got angry with Pagasa for their late weather bulletin regarding the typhoon. One parent said, “Inutil ning Pagasa Cebu. Magsalig ra sila pirmi sa Manila. Bisan nanglupad nang atop sa kakusog sa hangin, ni ingon ra gihapon sila nga ‘tropical depression’. ” Another parent said, “Bitaw. Wala silay concern nga kuyaw kaayo para sa mga bata nga na-stranded sa bagyo.”
