EVERY TOM, DICK AND JUAN. An Ear informer heard a retired barangay captain tell his friend at a coffeeshop: “It seems that every Tom, Dick and Juan de la Cruz is running for barangay positions nowadays. Maayo untag kahibalo sila unsa ilang gisudlan ug dili tiaw-tiaw lang. Kay kini, serbisyo sa katawhan, dili serbisyo sa kaugalingon.”

DO NOT VOTE FOR THEM. A Cebu City resident had a brilliant idea on how to avoid his wall from being “vandalized” with election posters. When barangay candidates started to paste posters on his wall, he hang a sign on the wall that said: “Ayaw botar ani nila.” No posters were posted on his wall after that.
