Balikbayan says Cordova may remain as a town

CORDOVA’S STATUS. A native of Cordova who has been living in the US for some years came home recently for a vacation. She said she was dismayed over media reports that her town is being eyed for annexation to Cebu City. “Mosugot ra diay ang mga opisyal niini?” she asked. “Let Cordova remain as a town. Makabarug man ni sa iya rang kaugalingon ba. What the town needs are leaders willing to sacrifice for Cordova’s growth.”

MANY SAY ‘YES’. Many young Cordovanhons are saying “Yes” to the move to make their town a part of Cebu City. This according to a high school teacher who has made a survey among his students. “Gusto sila sa annexation aron kuno ingnon sila nga taga siyudad sa Sugbo na,” the teacher said.
