Letter to the Editor Clarification on Capitol fire
January 2, 2007 | 12:00am
It is a completely baseless accusation that Governor Gwen Garcia drove away the Cebu City fire substation from the Capitol compound. No, she didn't.
The truth is, that particular fire substation had long been useless as it had no fire truck for years now. The Cebu City Fire Department, not the Capitol, has a lot of explaining to do on this matter.
As to the ERUF transfer from its present Capitol-owned lot in Banilad, Governor Garcia is thinking of a more accessible and more spacious lot for the entity somewhere in Sudlon, Lahug.
