Reporter of another news daily cried, touched by TF Foundation story

NEWSPAPER WITH A HEART. A reporter from another newspaper told The Ear that she cried upon reading the article of The Freeman Foundation singing Christmas carols and giving gifts to poor families within Metro Cebu. She said, "Na touch gyud ko sa gihimo sa inyong foundation. Nakahatag gyud mog kalipay sa mga poor families." A volunteer of The Freeman Foundation told her, "Siyempre. We're the only the newspaper with a heart. Dili lang profit ang tumong sa Freeman. Ang importante makatabang mi sa mga tawo."

ONLY P15? The Ear heard that staff members of a barangay in Minglanilla went to different houses singing carols. When one housewife gave them only P15, one of the carolers complained, "P15 ra? Nihatag man mig envelope." Embarrassed, the housewife borrowed P100 from her son to give to the carolers.
