TYPHOON OR TERRORIST THREAT? The Ear heard many speculations regarding the "real" reason why the 12th Asean Summit was postponed. Many reporters during the press conference tried to make the good ambassador cough out about the terror threat as the "real" reason for moving the Summit to January, but the continued insistence that the postponement was a weather-related issue just drew more speculations of a cover-up. One mediaman was heard commenting, "Makaduda man gyud kay hinay ra man ang bagoy unya atras dayon ang delegates? Hadlok sila sa bagyo o sa hulga sa terrorista? Basin gipasanginlan lang si Seniang."
PRAY TO STO NIÑO. One Sto. Niño devotee who heard about the putting off of the Asean Summit until the first week of January because of typhoon Seniang commented, "Mag ampo tang tanan kang Señor Sto. Niño nga ilikay niya ang bagyo palayo sa Cebu. Miracles can happen. Basin puwede pa madayon ang Summit."
