FASTFOOD VS. KARENDERIA. A new fastfood chain outlet recently opened in Punta Princesa and it immediately drew large crowds.
But one resident in the area were apprehensive in eating and even just taking out from the fastfood.
The reason? Most of the shops near the fastfood are karenderias and he bought from often in the past.
"Morag ma-ikog man ta kay ang mga tindahan didto mo-ingon unya hilas na kaayo ko dili nako mopalit sa ila," he later told a friend.
"CRASH" COURSE? A teacher of a university (Let's call her Teacher A) was shocked when one of her fellow teachers (Teacher B) came to her dragging with her a student all dressed up and made up for her graduation which was to take place a few hours later.
Teacher B told Teacher A her student had "overlooked" a major subject she was required to pass in order to graduate and asked Teacher A to "teach then pass" her student in only a few hours' time.
After getting over her shock, Teacher A staunchly refused the request, but later caved in when Teacher B badgered her and the student started crying.
Teacher A eventually "taught and passed" the student in a few hours' time but vowed never to give in to such a request again.
