Letter to the Editor — Odilao turns down consultancy Honorable Napoleon "Boy" Morales Commissioner of Customs Manila

-
I am deeply honored and would like to express my sincere appreciation for your offer to make me one of your Consultants for the Bureau's Task Force on Anti-Smuggling here in Cebu.

While I have always made my humble self available for responsibilities and tasks where I would be able to share my experience and expertise for the good of the service, I have to turn down this kind and generous offer, as my proposed appointment as Consultant might come in conflict with my line of work as Licensed Customs Broker.

Personally, I am confident that my sense of fairness and justice would not be affected by added responsibilities but misconceptions from the transacting public, colleagues and fellow workers will unavoidably arise if I accept the position.

Thank you so much Sir, for your trust and confidence in my person. Please be assured however, that I will still be available and be at your service in any capacity that I will be more useful and effective, I am.
