Disabled beggars more powerful than the tatooed estambays?

POWERFUL BEGGARS? The Ear heard a conversation between a disabled beggar and three tatooed vagrants yesterday near the Sto. Niño Basilica.

Disabled Beggar: "Ayaw mi esmola mga bakol, Bay. Kay kami, mas gamhanan mi kay ninyong mga bugoy."

Estambay: "Gipatol ka? Ngano gud intawon?"

Disabled Beggar: "Kaming mga bakol, libre basta mosakay sa jeep. Di na mi mistil motrabaho. Molingkod ra mi sa daplin ug manglimos, makakuwarta na mi. Tagaan pa gyud mi'g pagkaon sa mga tawo. Kamong mga bugoy, mahimo na ninyo?"

Estambay: "Aw, dili."

Disabled Beggar: "Tan-awa? Gi-ingnan tika. Mas dako mo'g lawas pero mas gamhanan mi kay ninyong mga bugoy."

The people who heard this could only laugh. One Sto. Niño devotee who heard this said, "That's a different way of counting your blessings."
