Cattle rancher defies law banning alms-giving

- The Ear -
COME AND GET HIM. A cattle rancher from a southern town gave alms to some beggars hanging out on the north end of Mango Ave. near the corner of M. J. Cuenco Ave. When reminded by his driver that there's a law against begging and giving of alms to beggars, the rancher said: "O, sigi, dakpa ko ninyo... kamong mga way kasingkasing." He told his driver that a child beggar has been hanging out in the above-mentioned place rain or shine but the DSWD located nearby has done nothing to help the poor child.

GRIPING SENIORS. Two senior citizens, leaders of their respective groups, were seen and heard fretting during the celebration of the senior citizens day in their city. They were not able to eat because there were no chairs to sit on. They were reported to have started to walk out but were prevailed upon to stay. They got their chairs and everything was solved until they heard someone say: "Sagdi lang na... ana man gyud na ang mga tiguwang."
