Wurtzbach is currently in the US, performing her Miss Universe duties. She is currently staying at an apartment commissioned to her as part of her prize for winning the pageant.

During one of her interviews with Inside Edition, the 26-year-old beauty queen gave them a tour of her apartment. As they reached her kitchen, she mentioned how she has always loved cooking and eating.

Wurtzbach has a Culinary Arts degree which she took after finishing studies at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies in San Juan, Manila. And although she went on to take another career path, she admits she still knows how to whip up a good meal.

Meanwhile, most netizens lamented on the pot that Wurtzbach is holding, saying the pot is "old, rusty and dirty" and that she should have better kitchenware since she is Miss Universe.

"My goodness you are Miss Universe and that's the kitchen you have? You'd figure you would have state of the art appliances, beautiful granite countertops. It's sad that an organization as wealthy doesn't offer their reigning Queens more plush surroundings. Anyway, enjoy your year," one user commented.

"Im thinking the same thing. I thought the apartment they provide for Ms. Universe would be more lavish than that AND new pots! Please!! Please tell me that's not a clothes washer in the background. Yes, I understand that the price for apartment in NYC is crazy expensive but she's not just any rental. She represents MUO for goodness sake," another user said.

Some however do not mind the pot at all, saying that it does not really matter.

"We Filipinos are not so "maarte" when it comes in so many stuff like that, we don't mind how big or small a house or an apartment is. As long as we're comfortable and happy and that's it. And we're always thankful for everything we have," another user said.
