3 die in Quezon fire

GUMACA, Quezon , Philippines — Three people died in a fire that struck a residential area in Gumaca, Quezon yesterday morning.

The fatalities were identified as Rolly Paril, 48; his partner, Tin, and a minor named Carl. Their remains were recovered during a clearing operation.

Investigation showed the fire started at around 2:50 a.m. in the house of the victims in Barangay Villa Bota.

The flames quickly spread to the entire house and to an adjacent property owned by Paril’s brother.

Firefighters declared the fire under control at 4:10 a.m.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
