This year’s third month was packed with so much local and global events!

What will happen within the rest of March and after?

Japan’s March forest fires set off the alarm gongs for the world to hear/heed the dire warming to hurry up and do better to stop global warming from coming earlier than the forecasted 2030 deadline!
NO to any more tree cutting in Cebu or elsewhere please!

March 28 marked the victorious entry of the first Filipina -19-year old Alexandra (Alex) Maniego Eala-- as a world tennis finals contender at the 2025 Miami Open.

Even if she lost to World #4 Pegula in the semi-finals, Eala came in strong, jumping from her previous #140th world ranking to #75. It was no mean feat to end up third, after this year’s champion and finalist!

Watch out and follow the young Alex Eala as the tennis world champion in various tournaments soon!

Go, go, go Alex! Padayon and continue to shine for our country and our people!

This March 28, as Duterte turned 80 in The Hague, diehards scheduled various birthday celebrations for him, including support/protest rallies and campaigns.

OFW Duterte supporters in Europe have called for a Zero Remittance Week they anticipate will cause the BBM government major adverse economic ripple consequences such as “reduced spending in local markets affecting small businesses, national GDP performance and peso-dollar exchange rate which, if prolonged, may have inflationary effects.”

Sonny Africa, economist and think tank IBON Foundation executive director and Malacañang, however, said this remittance threat would hurt the OFW own families more than the economy.

Juan Ponce Enrile also advised the OFWs to seriously reconsider because government may retaliate, for example, by canceling/suspending OFW tax privileges.

Within and after March, as Duterte diehards are confidently expecting/projecting, will the Duterte protests swell and transform into the next historic People’s Power that may topple another Marcos from Malacañang.

Will these projected huge rallies/protests also succeed in bringing Duterte back to the Philippines?

“Abangan/to be continued.”
