5 Chinese nabbed for theft, carjacking

MANILA, Philippines — Police have arrested five Chinese nationals who allegedly robbed their fellow Chinese in Barangay San Antonio, Makati.

The suspects ransacked the house of the victims and stole 20 iPhone units, an Android phone, a laptop, a gold necklace and a bracelet, an iWatch SE2, a gold watch and P46,000 in cash, according to a report from the National Capital Region Police Office.

Probers said the suspects drove away in the victim’s Nexus vehicle valued at P5.5 million.

The suspects handcuffed the victims before fleeing.

Police said they recovered the luxury car and other stolen items from the suspects.
