Caloocan fire: 1 dead, 50 families homeless

MANILA, Philippines — Around 50 families were left homeless and one person died after a fire broke out yesterday in Barangay 118, Caloocan City.

The four-hour fire destroyed P200,000 worth of property, according to arson probers.

Raymond Neri, 39, died after getting trapped as he reportedly entered the burning house to retrieve his money, the Bureau of Fire Protection said.

Scene of the crime operatives recovered Neri’s remains.
