Habal-habal driver arrested for drug, gun possession in Taguig
MANILA, Philippines — A habal-habal driver was arrested in a sting operation in Taguig City last Tuesday.
The 48-year-old suspect, alias “Mike,” was apprehended by Taguig City police during the operation in Barangay Central Bicutan at approximately 11:00 p.m.
Authorities seized 50.20 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P324,360 and a P500 bill on top of P5,000 boodle money.
A black widow 9mm revolver with five live rounds of ammunition was also retrieved at the scene.
The recovered pieces of evidence were turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for analysis.
Complaints for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act, and RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act are being filed against the suspect.
