MANILA, Philippines — Six people died in an accident involving three vehicles along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Canda Ilaya in Lopez, Quezon early yesterday.
Three of the fatalities are minors, according to a police report.
The fatalities were among the nine passengers of a tuktuk or three-wheeled motorcycle that caught fire when it was hit by a truck.
The other passengers of the tuktuk were injured.
The tuktuk crashed into a bus, which also caught fire.
No one among the bus passengers was injured.
The driver of the truck is under police custody.
